3-8. June 2012 The already 14th Junior Eco-Expert Project titled "Energy and the Environment" takes place at our secondary technical school in the term of 3rd to 8th June 2012. 60 students chosen from the partner schools and students of the 3rd grade of the Nature Science Lyceum of our school are going to participate in the project. The communication language is English as usual. The participating students will be divided into 5 groups based on their chosen topic of study. These topics are:
Students are going to present the results of their work at the final conference which is going to take place in the House of Culture in Veselí nad Lužnicí. In the leisure time the participating students are going to play volleyball and engage in other culture-oriented activities. Our school has acquired a 5000€ grant from the Visegrad Fund for carrying out the project. Information on Establishment of the International Visegrad Fund for cooperation in the field of culture, education, science, youth and international cooperation Agreement establishing the International Visegrad Fund was signed on 9th June 2000 at a meeting of Prime Ministers of the V-4 countries in Prague. Its goal is to support activities in the areas of support and development of cultural cooperation, scientific exchanges, research, education, youth and cross-border cooperation. Objectives of the Fund will be implemented through projects funded by the International Visegrad Fund. The grant may be applied for by a legal and physical person for a specific project only. The Fund will prefer to finance those projects which involve the largest possible number of subjects from the V-4 States. The financial contribution of the Fund will generally not exceed 50% of total project costs. Activities of the Fund will be funded from contributions regularly provided by the contracting parties. The first annual contribution to the fund is one million Euros and it is divided equally between the Parties. Information about applications will be provided to applicants by the Secretariat of the Fund. More information is available on the website or www.visegrad.info or www.visegradfund.org. The International Visegrad Fund (IVF) was founded on 9th June 2000. Member States are: The Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia (V-4 countries). The governing body of IVF is the Ministerial Conference of Foreign Affairs and the Council of Ambassadors. The executive power is the Director of the institution, who performs his function at the headquarters of IVF in Bratislava. IVF official language is English. The Fund shall contribute to the development of closer cooperation between the member states and strengthen the ties of culture, science and research, education, youth exchanges, tourism and cross-border cooperation. Budget of the Fund shall consist of equally high financial contributions, which are deposited every year by all four member countries. |
